Question regarding heuristic analysis and usability testing

Should you do a heuristic evaluation and then conduct a usability test on the issues you found right after? Or should you do a heuristic evaluation, then sketch/ideate and test those new sketches/ideas?

Hey there! I would recommend doing a heuristic evaluation first, that way you can scan your designs before testing. Often, heuristics play a big role in usability, and can help you make adjustments beforehand getting in front of users.

It can also help you obtain greater focus in your usability tests.

hey, maybe my wording was off but I do plan on doing a heuristic evaluation first. what I mean is after that, should I do user testing on my findings or come up with ideas and test those Ideas?

For a UX site Iā€™m surprised at the difficulty of easily seeing how to create a new post ;(. Can you help?
