Data Visualization and UX

Hi,

I would like to hear your opinion on a personal project of mine.
It’s (somehow…) about data visualization and UX, trying to present publicly available information in a comprehensible, user-friendly way with the goal to foster conversations based more on data than preconceptions. Here it is: https://www.europeanunionbudget.eu. The idea is to use this format (or similar) and explore other areas / issues in the future.
What do you think of this format? Any problems/suggestions/ideas?

nice, kinda like an interactive infographic? I like the idea of using data visualisations to enhance the user experience, but just be careful to only use them when it adds value and makes sense to.

Your stat titled “Where the money comes from and where it goes”, to me, would be better represented as a pie chart, so the reader can quickly see how large a chunk of the pie is spent on certain areas
