I can’t apply as I’m UK based, but I liked this bit:

Ideal Candidate

• Never be satisfied with mediocre work and expect a similar attitude of those around them
It infuriates me when I see sub-standard work. Right now I’m working on some user needs left over by an ex-colleague. They are incomplete.
In my old job, my old boss would often pull me up if even something on screen was a couple pixels out of whack.

• Posses an insatiable fascination with technology and finding new ways to leverage it
I count the number of taps it takes for servers to put through a sale in a bar, restaurant and wonder what the IA is.

• Aspire to learn and grow beyond the confines of a typical 9 – 5 job
Some thing’s I’m not good at. I want to work on those.

• Thrive in a team environment
Peer review is critical.

• Get excited about satisfying a client and producing successful outcomes
Latest project we pulled out the fire. Almost ended up losing the client. In the end, they were super happy.

• Possess a general understanding of many major software platforms and technologies
'natch

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Visio or Omnigraffle, Wireframing tools, MS Office is a plus
Axure mate, Axure. We have to model lots of complex transactions over here. None of the tools come close to Axure.

• Proficiency in HTML5 + CSS3, Javascript, visual design principles is a plus
Kinda program a bit. My old boss was strong visual designer so learned lots from him.

FYI I’m a senior UX 10 yrs experience now working to GDS .GOV framework in UK which is relentlessly, obsessively UCD

Thanks for the general response and follow-up comments on specific items. You’re exactly the type of individual I wouldn’t mind interviewing for our roles but you’re in the UK

If you ever make to this side of the pond please look us up.

Finding a talented UX is difficult. There are loads of wannabe UX folks but they haven’t got ‘it’. Like being a naturally talented chef or musician.

Good luck!
