I ran across this article on Medium and I thought the title of “UX vs UI vs IA vs IxD : 4 Confusing Digital Design Terms Defined” would make for a great read and it was.
The whole thing about the “language” of the overall UX field is interesting to me, I wonder if it’s sometimes jargon for jargon’s sake, a sort of gatekeeping strategy?
UPDATE: I just saw a mention of "UX choreography"on Slack…what the #$!*?
By the way does anyone know where the whole “X” thing first came from in relation to this particular field of interest? I thought it had something to do with Adobe’s Creative Cloud and the whole square icon thing with letters inside like PS, LR, ID depending upon the name of the specific app - but that might be a stretch.
