Struggling to break in to the world of UX

Hi there,

I just finished a masters degree in Information Systems in Dublin, Ireland. My degree doesn’t necessarily focus on UX but it is where I discovered it! I immediately took a liking to it and wanted to pursue it as a career but it is becoming increasingly difficult. I have a number of projects in my portfolio but I’m getting nowhere in my job hunt. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi there,

Have a look at the local startup communities and startup spaces/hubs. Get along to their networking events. I’ve found startups are often lacking a ux person, and will gladly accept any free help.

You can build up some cool, real world portfolio work this way. Good way to get started.
