Peer moderating

What are your thoughts on peer moderating?

Would it be a good practice for a designer on a different project to moderate for your project’s tests and vice versa?

That makes sense to me. It’s ok to run your own but if you have enough designers to switch around it’s not a bad idea to reduce bias. The researcher involved could stay the same though - no sense in switching that up - that’s their whole gig. As long as you are conveying to them what needs to be asked and tested there shouldn’t be a problem.

That said we typically test our own - or our researcher does.

Thanks for your response! We’re a small team of 4 people, each working on a minimum of 2 full time projects at a time plus other responsibilities on top of that. We take on both research and design and do not have separate researchers.
