Feedback on my first portfolio

Hi everyone,

Me again.
Thank you for all of your advices you gave me in other topics, I really appreciate it.

This time I wanted to ask you for feedback on my first UX portfolio.

Two months ago I started interviewing for UX positions in Cracow, Poland. There are not many of them and in 90% companies are looking for UX Designer with a commercial experience, however this portfolio gave me a chance to receive some invitations for interviews, even if later they decided to put forward someone who is more experienced.

I suppose there are many things in my first portfolio that might be improved. Or maybe even things that are missing there and I don’t even know about it.

That is why I wanted to ask you for some feedback. Would you consider to hire me with this portfolio for a designer role? I would love to hear everything that comes to your mind - I am really eager to learn more and improve, but without some mentoring I am afraid I just don’t know what else can/should be done.

Hi @justyna182, I am not in your location, so I don’t know what the market is like there. However, a couple of things stood out to me.

The fact that your portfolio is a PDF. Ideally, you should have an online portfolio and a PDF to show in interviews.

Your case studies had a lot of text with not many images showing the process. Also, I was a bit confused by the process you followed.

Here are some example portfolios to view that may help:

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have specific questions.

Thank you, @jdebari !

Do you know any easy methods to use to build a web portfolio without coding skills?

@justyna182 you could use Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, Webflow, or Wordpress. I personally use Wix because you don’t need to use a template. All the others you have to use a template. They are all around the same price. The ones I showed you were all using either Wix or Squarespace.

Hope that helps!
