My name is Kimberley Magain and I live in inner city Melbourne with my husband and two kids. I blog. I write. I take photographs. Lots and lots of photographs. I don’t craft. Writing is my passion.
I am the Managing Editor of UX Mastery, with a very steep learning curve around UX. I am not a UX practitioner, rather I am the HR-side of the UX Mastery team, as well as being their editor, contributor and content wrangler. I have many years in the corporate sector specialising in the various facets of HR, including recruitment & selection and mentoring. I have worked both in-house (recruiting and managing Risk graduates) and in IT recruitment agencies.
Although I don’t practice UX, I’ve had to live and breathe it as part of my role. I love that UX taps into the psychological, intuitive and empathic parts of the user experience. I had never been that interested in IT as an industry until I discovered the existence of UX as a “thing”.
