I'm a student from Romania, where I study Electrical Engineering, more precisely Applied Informatics and Automatics. Still one more year left.... Well, I am the type of person who is described by the others like: calm, melancholic, passionate reader, wise, very empathic and oriented towards arts. I didn't know what faculty to choose because nothing I knew suited me perfectly. So, I choose the faculty above, from which two of my brothers graduated a few years before. It was so hard at the beginning and still it is, because I never get along with math and physics, and now with programming too. Before finishing the first year, I heard about an UX internship at Adobe. It didn't have requirements in which I was lacking. So I applied and studied UX. That was the moment when I realized that UX may be my path: empathy, creativity, working with and for people, and no coding skills necessary. I didn't get that internship, but it get me new directions.
After reading Donna Spencer's book about information arhitecture, I found uxmastery which became the best source of inspiration. They had a great list of recommended books, which many of them are in my "librrary" now. Matt and Luke articles always asnwered to my questions.
You guys, always encouraged me, even if you didn't know that!
Meanwhile, I do some volunteering work at a youth center, I read a lot and sometimes I try to learn some html and css basics.
So, after graduating, I wish to study abroad interaction design or smth related to that. We will see what the future brings us...
