Congratulations on the new job! How’s it going so far?

Thanks Doug, it’s going really great, depending on your point of view  No, really, it’s a lot of fun. The internal processes are sometimes a bit overwhelming and hard to comprehend but most of my colleagues really do want things to change and therefore are very cooperative. Long story short: Heaps of work but lots of potential quick-wins to get the spirits going. The best part: The Management has our back

Hey there! Welcome to the fold.

Hi! My name is Peter. I live in South Carolina, USA.

I’m just starting out in UX Design.
My biggest challenge right now is choosing a course of study to get my design skills up to snuff
I’m passionate about the artistic, design, and psychology aspects of UX Design.
Dogs, because they actually CARE about what YOU are thinking and feeling. They make an effort to have a social connection with you. Cats just … don’t. No disrespect to cat owners though.

Looking forward to getting into UX Design!

You’ve clearly never met a Burmese cat!

Welcome anyway Peter. Glad you’re here.

Where in the world are you?
I’m from Melbourne, Australia.

What stage of your career are you at?
I had a major career switch 5 years ago from a project manager to a UX/UI designer. I love what I’m doing and there are still so much to learn every day!

What are you current challenges?
Professionally, I am trying to improve my UX capability and thinking process. Trying to understand how other UX designers do their job to get better results.

What aspect/s of UX are passionate about?
To me is all about designing something that people can relate to and use on regular basis. My idea of contributing to the community is to design a product and a process that put smile on people’s face.

Cats or dogs?
I love dogs but I don’t have a dog yet. I am still renting a place so once I’ve got my own place, I will definitely get one! Probably a rescue one.

Yay!

Welcome.
