I started my career as an IT Network Administrator and worked 1 year in the field. It was then that I realized that my job did not inspire me. I had to make a change if I was going to be happy. I applied for and was hired at a start up company doing SEO, IA, design, front-end development, and UX. This was the launching point for my career as it allowed me to gain insight and experience into the industry.
There are many different avenues to explore in UX which is why it’s such a great career. You’re always learning, exploring human behavior, and solving problems. Today I’m a Sr. UX Designer focusing on Healthcare applications.
On the side I research why people interested in getting into the UX field have such a hard time doing so along with providing UX career advice.
