Hi there, my name is Ivan Juras, and I'm a 25 year old student of multimedia computer engineering from Zagreb, Croatia.
You wouldn't believe it, but I've been a developer, a designer, and mainly and SEO since I was 12 years old (it all started one day somewhere around year 2000, out of pure boredom.. while my friends and classmates were playing Unreal Tournament in school, I started learning HTML. Eventually, I completely transferred to SEO, but today I do all 3 - design, development and SEO for my clients).
It's strange, but I only found out about the term "User Experience Design" about a year and a half ago. I didn't know it even existed!
Basically, since the search engines are evolving at high pace, I believe that the future (and even present) holds a mesh of User Experience Design & SEO. That's why I'm eager to learn about UXD in the first place, because making them happy, and making your products usable and likable is likely the future (and the present ) for success.
I've learned a lot from UX mastery (mostly your recommendations on books and courses - I took several of them; a course by David Travis, Elements of UXD by Jesse James Garret etc), and I was surprised at some similarities between UXD and SEO! Mainly, in my job, a lot of time is being spent on Information Architecture, siloing web sites, making sure that code is speedy, without errors and clean, but then again, if I'm not mistaken, those things are the touching points with IA, which is a subsection of UXD in general.
Anyways, I'm glad to have joined the community. Thanks for opening up the forum!
